High School Chapter 4

"How is everyone today? I'm Naruto I'll be your waiter tonight and this is Hinata. She's new and I'm showing her the ropes. Now, can I start you folks off with some drinks?" Naruto said as he walked up to a table with Hinata right behind him.

"Umm... two cokes, one sprite, and a shake."

"What flavor would you like the shake?" Naruto asked as he wrote down everything.

"What flavors do you have again?"

"We have strawberry, blueberry, chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch, banana, and coffee." Naruto answered.

"Butterscotch please."

"Ok, we'll go grab those for ya and be back to take your order." Naruto replied.

Naruto lead Hinata to the soda machine and let her take control.

"Ok ready for the shake machine?" Naruto said as he grabbed a cup for the shake.

"Sure." Hinata replied.

"Ok, you have to put the ice cream in first. then the milk, and the flavor last. Then you turn the machine on. Always turn it on first. Then you just push the center of the cup up towards the mixer. You have to move it up and down to make sure it mixes completely. Then your done." Naruto said as he showed Hinata how to use the machine.

"Ok, I got it." Hinata said as she grabbed the shake and placed it on the tray.

"Ok now let's go give them their drinks." Naruto said as he opened the door.

Over the next three hours Naruto showed Hinata all the tables and machines until she was able to do everything by memory. Around 7:30 the diner was empty and Choji walked out from the kitchen.

"Ok guys, we'll call that a day. You can go home." Choji said as he reached the counter.

"Alright boss. I'll show you where we put everything Hinata." Naruto said as he took off his uniform and placed it over his arm.

"Ok." Hinata said as she followed Naruto to the back.

"Ok, pens here, notepads here and uniform go on this hook." Naruto said as walk through the back.

Hinata placed everything where it went and grabbed her bag as did Naruto.

"Ok, now we can go home." Naruto said as he opened the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow then?" Hinata asked.

"Of course." Naruto said as he started to turn.

"Hey Hinata!" A young man about Naruto's height and age called out as he ran up the road passed Naruto.

"Leave me alone Jak." Hinata said as she continued to walk.

"Now hold on!" Jak yelled as he grabbed Hinata and pulled her back. "I told you I would get you to date me one day and today's the day. We're going out tonight."

"Let go of me!" Hinata yelled.

"Hey!" Naruto yelled as he grabbed Jak. "She told you to leave her alone."

Jak turned to face Naruto. They started each other down for a few seconds before Jak started to walk away.

"This isn't over." Jak said as he walked away.

"Come on Hinata, I'll walk you home." Naruto said as he looked at her.

"It's fine Naruto, really." Hinata replied.

"Sorry but I would be to blame if something happened to you." Naruto said before he grabbed her.

Little did Naruto know he grabbed Hinata's hand as he started to walk in the same direction as Hinata was. Hinata started to blush as she and Naruto walked down the road.
